Farewell to the Dual-mass Flywheel
Aftermarket technicians recognize the original equipment dual mass flywheel as a complex and costly replacement. LuK responded with the development of solid Flywheel replacements.

Three solid flywheels and three Luk RepSets are available to replace 1987-2001 models originally equipped with dual-mass flywheels. The Luk

RepSet for the solid flywheel (SMF) replacements includes our patented Series Damper Disc. This highly efficient design contains coil springs that compress in series to absorb and isolate undesirable and potentially destructive engine vibrations*.
The effectiveness of this disc in dampening vibrations eliminated the need for the dual-mass flywheel, enabling LuK engineers to design the solid flywheel replacements.

Flywheels Offer Longer Service Life
Without wearable components. LuK's solid flywheels offer increased service life. They can also be resurfaced. LuK RepSets for dual-mass flywheels are not interchangeable with those for solid flywheels. Flywheels include mounting bolts, required for the change.
